Today we mourn another special show we aren’t playing. Supposed to play Toronto tonight for the first time in many years and we were super pumped. But like all shows right now that isn’t happening.... and we are sad 😢 Looking like the May dates will all be off too. And it’s looking more and more likely June as well which means we will have to move the “music at the Monk” show. It will happen just not likely in June as we’d planned. We will give some official word on it next month as we see how this plays out but I’d bet it’s gonna be moved. All those who’ve bought tickets they will be honoured at the future show or refunded of course. The good in all this is that we’ve been working on a new album so it’s not been idle time at all and we are both well and haven’t had any symptoms of the virus. We take the wins where we can get them. We will see you soon. Still very much planning an online show for you all hopefully later this month !!! Just working out the logistics and getting it ready !! Stay safe , stay home. ✌️JG

Hey party people ! So the “Youth Tour” seems more and more like it’s not gonna happen or at least not for a while, but rest easy kids, with all this time Jay and I have gone back to work on the follow up to “Youth”. The album is yet untitled , but it’s coming along really well. Drums are done , a massive chunk of guitars are done and I have 2 more vocals to cut!! We are aiming for a 2021 release at this point. Not much point in releasing a record we can’t go tour and support but we will have it done and ready. “Youth” turns one year old in August ! ... now don’t worry !! Jay and I aren’t working on this in the same studio. We are doing our parts in different places and then flying the tracks into Pro tools @starlitesound so the social distance is about 71 KM... take that COVID you dick!!! We’re all feeling well at this time and working hard to live up to the Album that Youth was!!! We will keep you posted ! - ✌️ JG

Sooo now we’ve done a couple shows people have heard about the shirts. I explain them during the show , but for those not yet in the loop , here’s the story: Jay and I are wearing these shirts for each show. Front says “youth tour 2020” back says “looking for Heather crew”. It’s kind of a joke because we show up in a car or van we drove. We haul in and set up our own gear. Tune our guitars , set up and sell our merch , make our own backing tracks , play the show , tear down and drive home / to the next show. It’s sort of pointing out that after 25 years of doing this we are still our own CREW. The life of an indie musician. You spend more time being the CREW than the artist so for a laugh we got @sportsline89 in our home town of Lindsay to make these for us! It’s all in good fun. Definitely not an ego play here. Far from it. Just a couple guys who love playing music doing it for the fun and not the glamour and glory. So when you come to a show you will see two guys in these shirts setting up. And tearing down. It’s us. There’s no limo or bus showing up with the band , they’re already there working hard to make sure you have a great experience at the show. Now go crank up @officialmotorhead “(we are)the road crew” !! 🤘

Lindsay !!! Are you ready to be rocked .... gently ..... !!?? This will hands down be the show of the summer in our humble little town so make sure you don’t sleep on this one !!! We are beyond excited to announce “Music at The Monk” a celebration of local music and local craft beer. The event will be held upstairs in the hall above the bar. Full bar will be open upstairs ! It’s a 19+ show and tickets are only $10!!!! They will go on sale March 16th via eventbrite and will also be sold via the pie eyed monk and from the band members. Stay tuned here for more on sale dates. This is just the first step in letting you all know about this show. Check out @cassienoblemusic and @jgtunes to hear what they’re doing. Both fantastic talents. Doug Sparks is a long time friend of ours and is a tremendous talent. We cannot wait to get this show going! Mark your calendars !!! Hope to see you all there.
