“Barricade” , the newest song on the album, is where the band felt the duet card was best played. Enlisting the help of fellow Lindsay Singer Cassie Noble, Jeff tells the story of two people wanting to be in love but feeling the other person is likely seeing someone else and isn’t interested. For this one, the band opted for a stripped down , acoustic presentation allowing the lyrics and vocal performances of Jeff and Cassie to highlight the track.

Lyrics

Have you heard the news
The lights are going out on the west side
Now that you're not here
And you think she's here tonight you're all I'm thinking about

Those summer nights on the midway, trying to get through to you
Now the drugs don't work but tonight all I'm thinking is
How will I know if we're gonna make it out
All I know is you can't be lonely now
Trying to get where we want to be
I'm no my way tonight

You crash my heart like a renegade
Cut through my walls with your switch blade
And all my life, I want to be there by your side
I'm like a car speeding fast on a motorway
That comes crashing through your barricade
And all my life, I want to be there by your side

Have you heard the news, there's no emotion coming out of my stereo
Now that you're not around
And you think he's here tonight, you're all I'm thinking about
I've spent too much time on the radio
Trying to get through to you
Now the drugs don't work but tonight all I'm thinking us
How will I know if we're gonna make it out
All I know is you can't be lonely now
We're trying to get where we want to be
I'm on my way tonight
